Lip Augmentation
As we age our lips lose their fullness, begin to droop, become thin, the corners of the mouth may sag, fine lines and wrinkles appear – while that full, voluptuous shape disappears along with the signs of youth, health and fertility.
My lips are too thin. My upper lip is disappearing. My lips aren’t soft, supple or well proportioned anymore. My mouth sags at the corners – or I always look like I’m frowning. I’ve never had a pretty mouth. A thinning upper lip often makes you appear angry and/or older – while fine lines, often called smoker’s lines appear – to make you look even older. CCI recommends lip augmentation to correct these problems and give you the lips you’ve always wanted and never had – or to restore the beautiful, natural lips of your youth.
Materials used today to enhance lips include Hyaluronic Acids such as Hydrelle and Juvederm®, Fat Transfer –using your own fat. Today’s implants are softer and create a natural look which can be either temporary or permanent.
LIP AUGMENTATION PROCEDURE:
Temporary treatments – using injectable fillers – take only a few minutes and are done in-office using topical anesthetic. Injectable fillers can last from 6-12 months. Permanent lip enhancement involves using use of implants such as Gortex™ and involves local anesthesia.
